***UPDATE 25/7/2022***

I've finally completed my swim! Not at Windermere as hoped as the event was cancelled due to high winds. So I swam a mile yesterday at North Yorkshire Water Park in a bikini as promised! It was a bit breezy but I enjoyed it and did it in around 1hr 15mins. THANK YOU so much to everyone who sponsored me! xxx

Hello friends

As lots of you already know Saint Catherine's means a lot to me - I have the privilege of working at the hospice and have also experienced it as a volunteer and family member when they cared for my dad.

This year I'm taking on the Great North Swim - a one-mile swim across Lake Windermere. Apparently the temperature never gets above 14-15C (I found this out after I signed up!)

To add another level of jeopardy and hopefully encourage more sponsorship, I'll be shunning the wetsuit option and swimming in a bikini. Hopefully it'll make me swim faster and achieve a really good time!
