Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I continue to fund-raise for the Institute of Cancer Research because of their amazing work and research into this disease which affects the lives of far too many people, and will do so even more without vital funds.
Firstly, I want to say a huge thank you to all those who donated a few years ago, when I was due to run the 2020 London marathon. Your donations are all included here to count towards my fundraising target. Obviously that year turned into a virtual event, and to honour all those donations, I completed that marathon locally with my 2 running besties. It has always been my plan to run the actual marathon in London, so 2023 (being back in April) is the year for me. I have kept motivation by running other virtual events - 2021 was Land's End to John o'Groats and 2022 has been the ring road of Iceland! So now back to where I started and the marathon training plan again.
My personal cancer journey continues to be positive - I'm 8 years clear now and finished treatment 3 years ago. I'm feeling very lucky to be able to take on this challenge and do what I can to help others affected by cancer.
Times are hard for many at the moment but if you could spare a few pennies for this amazing charity, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you 😊
