Story

This page has been set up in loving memory of Gill by her family.

Gill fought ovarian cancer in 2017. Through the skill of the surgical and chemo teams at Cheltenham Oncology department, she made an amazing recovery. This gave her an invaluable three and half extra years with her children, grand children and time to revisit Scotland, The Lake District and the Pyrenees with Jim.

In late November, it was evident that the cancer had returned. This time, Gill was not strong enough to withstand the onslaughts of chemo and cancer. Gill died peacefully on January 21st. In those final days, Gill was in hospital being cared for by the Cheltenham oncology team. They were so dedicated in their care for her despite all the considerable challenges they face at present. We would like to recognise all they did for Gill through this fundraising effort.
