I did not know Amanda well in life although my husband worked with her for several years at Grimsby College. When with a dog walking group I heard of Amanda's brave fight with cancer and how she longed to have a dog to love we started  sponsored walk.  In her memory we raised money to sponsor  the care of "Buddy" a dog  at Jerry Greens Rescue.  Following  this we also raised enough to sponsor  five more dogs. We were delighted when Jerry Greens Rescue announced they had donations from many different sources and with the addition of the funds from our next walk we raised enough to open their operating theatre and would like to name it in honour of Amanda. we all went to see the plaque during a short presentation.

Now over the past year my friends and I have been touched by the loss of family and friends to cancer and I see the pain they feel at the loss so this year we are walking  for the Macmillan Cancer Support.

we are funding all our own expenses so every donation  you give will help with the care or cure of this devastating illness please help our cause by sponsoring me or the other members of the team on our 147 mile walk through Lincolnshire  the "Viking Way on Paws"
