Hi, My name is Sue Oakley, I am married to Simon, and have 2 daughters, Hazel aged 22 and Claire aged 18.  In 2006 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, it was one of the most challenging times of my life.  My girls were only 15 yrs and 11 1/2 yrs of age.  It was a hard time for all of the family, and one of the hardest things was sitting down with my girls and telling them that I had a potentially life threatening illness.  My husband was a huge support to me at this time and I know that I could not have got through it without him.  I also had a lot of support from colleagues at work, you know who you are if you are reading this. 

To do this bike ride, will provide me with the next biggest challenge of my life, but also to pay back something to these charities.  Without the research, people like me wouldn't be in the position now of even contemplating taking on something like this.
