Jeff Stelling's March for Men, 2-16 June 2017
Campaign by PROSTATE CANCER UK (RCN 1005541 and in Scotland (SC039332))
In June 2017, with over 600 supporters, we marced from Exeter to Newcastle, St James Park to St James’ Park to help stop prostate cancer being a killer. 15 marathons in 15 days. 400 miles. 40 clubs.

Story

My husband Tom was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.  He had none of the usual symptoms other than extreme tiredness.  After all the tests MRI, scan and biopsy, he contracted sepsis which was life threatening.  He spent several days in Sunderland Royal where he was well looked after.  He has just completed 4 weeks of intensive Radiotherapy, however, he has had a couple of bouts of illness which needed antibiotics.   He is having hormone injections for the next 12 months and we are hoping for a good result.  I am doing the March for Men to raise awareness of Prostate Cancer and also to have a test for men.  A simple blood test and rectal exam will take 10 minutes and save lives.
