In January 2004 my son Sam was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2.

His diagnosis was a terrible shock and his prognosis of "survival into early adulthood with the best possible medical care" was terrifying!

However, in true SMA spirit, Sam has showed us how to LIVE!!

We take nothing for granted and now believe that Sam, will live way beyond that initial prognosis and with his positive attitude will go far!

As Sam's condition is life shortening and terminal and complications could cause problems at any time, we decided to fill his time with amazing experiences.

Caudwell Children took Sam and myself along with his brother Dean, to Florida for the Disney Experience of a lifetime last December and we just want to give something back so other families can benefit too.

Thank you for any donation at all. The "Purple People" are now part of our family and we'll never forget or stop being grateful for everything they did for Sam. xxxx

I will be walking as much as possible and also looking to take part in official fundraisers for Caudwell Children too. I will be posting weekly updates of miles walked (as recorded on my Endomondo app) and would appreciate either one time donations or something like a penny a mile :) Anything large or small is very much appreciated.
