This July, I will be doing a ten day trek through the mountains of Peru. It is a big challenge for me, but one I'm really looking forward to taking on.

My son Luke decided to do this challenge when Peter died last year and asked me to do it with him. At the time, I was not ready to commit, but after visiting a friend in hospital, who talked about regrets of things she hadn't done, it made me realise life is too short. Now I am ready and  looking for a challenge!

As Luke now lives in Australia I will get a double bubble: a challenge and 10 days to spend trekking with him!

My school supports a different charity each year and this year we are supporting Leeds Children's Hospital Appeal. Its a great charity and one that I would love to help out through this trek.
