Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We kicked this campaign off just before 28th May 2020 :- "World Hunger Day", Hunger is a global crisis and many disadvantaged people do not get one decent meal a day.

In the UK and globally many charities are struggling right now due to the Corona Virus pandemic. Fundraising events have had to be cancelled because of social distancing.  The Akshaya Patra Foundation is among these charities.

My husband Nirmal Parekh and I are local ambassadors for this charity, and we would like to help make the world a better place by feeding the disadvantaged. We were  planning a local charity dinner dance this summer, however we have had to cancel this due to Covid-19.
Using my background in Information Technology and Social Media Marketing, we have created several social media groups and pages over the years. We regularly share our knowledge and experiences  on the benefits  via these group.  They say that "wisdom" is the best gift you can give anyone.

Our groups are focused on "healthy mind body and soul", they say if you have health you have everything.

We are passionate about these topics, and knowledge in these areas has developed and transformed our lives.  We want everyone to benefit with this knowledge and social media is a great platform to share and transform lives.

We were aiming to raise £1000, however due to the overwhelming support we have increased our target to £1500 so we can feed more hungry children.

Check out our groups and pages - please join.

Words of Wisdom, Love and Knowledge

This last page I set up for my boys many years ago and I would save good advice for them. It is now available for everyone.

Been a mother of three boys I can't imagine what it would be like not having enough money to feed our children, many of us are very fortunate that we have never been in this position, however there are millions of parents in this position I feel it is a great privilege to be able to help these parents and children.

I support Akshaya Patra and feel that food is the foundation to give children a headstart in life. They have done some amazing work during the COVID pandemic in India as well as in the UK where they were able to feed over 60 million meals to migrant workers, hungry children and struggling families in a short span of just 2 months and I am proud to be associated with them.

If you would like to feed hungry mouths please donate and bring a smile to little faces.
