Story
Pure Insight was formed in January 2013 as a direct response to the needs of local care leavers. The charity works to support young people leaving the care of a local authority and looked after children. We provide a service offering a variety of activities to help build coping strategies and develop skills to help this group of young people progress towards a successful independent life.
The London Marathon was due to take place on the 26th of April this year, but had to cancel the event due to the COVID-19 outbreak. As a result, people all over the country decided to choose a challenge relating to 26 (the number of miles in a marathon). Students on the Supported Internship programme have decided to also participate and try and raise some money. They have come up with some great ideas for their 26 challenge, such as doing 26 kick ups, cycling for 26 minutes or even learning 26 sign language signs. See the list of activities below that each intern is going to do to raise money.
