Neet and Marina are running the Paisley 10K on the 30th August and the Great Scottish Half Marathon (Marina's first Half Mara) on 3rd Oct. on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support to raise awareness about breast cancer issues. Neet and Marina are both breast cancer survivors and can't stress enough how important it is to check yourself regularly and if you find ANY lump or notice anything unusual about your breasts or under you arms then go to a doctor and get checked out. The earlier breast cancer is detected then better your prognosis. It is also important to consider genetic screening if you or someone in your family has had cancer. Early detection is paramount and using every tool in the bag to do this is essential if we want to prevent women and men dying of breast cancer or having to live with secondaries.
