Story
My name is Super George and I’ve just turned five years old! I’m going to run 1.5 miles in the Robin Hood Mini Marathon with my mummy and daddy! I’m so excited, but it’s a long way for my little legs!
George’s words: “I was a poorly baby and I want to help get lots of money to give to the hospital to help the other poorly babies. The doctors and nurses made me better and made me SUPER GEORGE. Thank you everyone at the hospital. I’m a big, strong boy now, I started big school in September, and was five on my birthday!”
Sophie and Ritchie: “Since George was born, we have been overwhelmed by the support of friends, family, colleagues and even complete strangers, in helping to raise money for Nottingham Hospitals Charity, most specifically for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at QMC. George understands the basics of his journey to date and we are so proud he wants to now get involved too. Running by his side, we will be the proudest parents! Although it’s only 1.5miles, it’s a long way for George, and his first ever fundraising event, so please support him with anything you feel able to donate - thank you.”
