Having never run more than 5K, I am giving myself the challenge of completing the half marathon in honour of supporting Grief Encounter and the special work they do to help support children in need.. The charity have been providing free, professional and specialist bereavement support services for over 15 years and have a mission to give every child and young person access to the best possible support following the death of someone close.

With this in mind I am determined to push myself and proudly say that I ran and raised money for a charity who put children’s needs first and do whatever they can to help the sun shine at times that feel so grey.
