Story
I have signed up to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free standing mountain in the world. I will be taking on this huge challenge and climbing 19,341ft (5,895m) high.
Anyone who knows me will know that for the past 7 years I have suffered with a life-threatening illness. The past 3 years have seen me able to conquer my illness and now I feel like I need another challenge: to CONQUER KILIMANJARO.
I am doing this climb in honour of the doctor and my mother that solved my recovery and helped me get to the place I am today. When I reach this peak it will be thanks to Dr P. Buckley and my beautiful mother.
On this 7 day trek through Tanzania's National Park in East Africa, I will be trekking through a huge range of landscapes and climates. I am fundraising for Penny Appeal's Emergency Response programmes to help people who are facing crisis, war and displacement.
