It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

On December 26th I lost my big brother Kam to pancreatic cancer.

Kam was 54.

Kam had been experiencing lots of vague symptoms since since April 2018, including back ache, stomach ache, weight loss and later sudden onset of diabetes. Unfortunately the GP do not recognise these symptoms as being classic pancreatic cancer symptoms. It was only later in October following several bouts of severe tummy pain that Kam was sent for tests to be told on 7th November that he had Stage 4 disease pancreatic cancer.

In the 6.5 weeks to his passing Kam deteriorated rapidly and the cancer ravaged his body.

If the symptoms had been recognised early my brother may still be with us.

If awareness of this disease was more widespread our family may have recognised these symptoms.

Please help me raise funds for this cause.

It will take a long time for my family to recover from the horrible way in which a Kam was taken, but I hope that his legacy will help others have a chance.

Thankyou
