This will be my last marathon, it all started with Michelle and Liz back in 2013, when we did our first London Marathon, Michelle as Patrick, Liz as Gary the Snail and myself as SpongeBob (photo attached) SpongeBob was one of Mary’s favourite cartoons and we all thought it was a lovely memory to run the marathon as Mary’s favourite characters. I have done the London Marathon 7 times and this will be my 8th. I wasn’t going to do another one, but my close friend Nicky Mager and her son Ben wanted to do the London Marathon and I thought, well why not?  And so wanted to support them. I have come across a few hurdles along the way, including two operations and training stopped for 12 weeks, so this marathon I am going to walk it. This is where my close friend Michelle Williams offered to walk it with me.  We have walked and walked all over Weston, having lots of adventures along the way. I know that we will complete it but will take us ages 😊 but it’s the support that I can give to Nicky and Ben, that’s the important bit and also raising awareness and some funds along the way. Absolutely wonderful that Michelle will be keeping me company in our last marathon together, giving lots of support along the way.
