Story
Hi Everyone! I'm glad to announce we made it! In spite of horrendous weather we arrived safe but muddy in Santiago last Thursday after a gruelling walk. We were spurred on by your pledges and by the encouraging friendship of countless pilgrims from all parts of the world. Thank you all for your generosity and rest assured I shall not be asking for more donations next year! These old bones have had their fill!
Hope you like the pics. Love Sue x
Hello everybody
Thanks for looking at my fundraising page. I'm attempting to walk the final section of the Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela during Holy Week at the end of March this year.
The route covers 112km and begins in Sarria and covers the hilly landscape of Galicia on the way of St James. At the age of 65 its quite a physically demanding challenge and requires a reasonable level of fitness, which I#m currently working on obtaining!!
I'm being accompanied on the walk by my dear friend Eunice; and my brother and sister in law, Tim and Di. I'd very much like to raise some money for the Haemophilia Soceity in memory of my late husband Keith. Any support you can give to this very worthy cause would be greatly appreciated, as well as any tips on avoiding blisters!
I'll put some pics up once/if I manage to make it to the end, in the meantime thanks for your support.
Love
Sue
