Story
Thank you for visiting my sponsorship page.
Last year many of you sponsored me for Action Medical Research in the London Big Half Marathon.
I promised you then if I got myself round I would attempt to enter the London Marathon this year.
I am delighted to say Action Medical Research have offered me a place to run for them again. I am not only running in the London Big Half Marathon on the 10th March but also in the London Marathon on 28th April.
It has been a life time goal of mine to run in this amazing Marathon and being able to support my favourite charity at the same time is the icing on the cake!
Action Medical Research, has been running for 66 years, has already helped pioneer treatments to prevent diseases such as polio.
They are dedicated to improving the health of babies and children by developing more new treatments and cures for children such as:
Iona who at five was diagnosed with brain cancer , Tom who has the fatal muscle-wasting condition Duchenne muscular dystrophy and Alfie who has severe cerebral palsy and can’t use his arms or legs and is unable to talk.

Medical research can help children like these but is underfunded in the UK. For every project Action funds there’s another one they have to turn away – simply because of a lack of funds.
Would you please help me reach my target? ... no amount is too small. I will add your name to my running vest.
It would be an amazing achievement if we could help fund one of these projects.
Many thanks for your support
Sue
