Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As my disability prevents me from running the London marathon I thought I would give myself an alternative physical challenge in order to raise money for a charity close to my heart - Cancer Research UK.  Far too many of my friends and family have been taken too soon by cancer and the more research we can fund in this area the more chances we have of eventually finding a cure.

On April 21st 2013*, when the London Marathon is taking place, I will be attempting a double marathon, one-legged on an exercise bike at the Mercure Parkway Hotel health and leisure club in Leeds. I would be most grateful for any donations you could make, however small, to this worthy cause and help make the inevitable pain and saddle-soreness worthwhile!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you,

Sue

* My condition can be a bit unpredictable so if I am not able to undertake the challenge on the 21st I will try to complete it the week-end after.
