John was a big man with a very big heart, who always wanted to help others. He was always smiling, and always bright and sunny, and people warmed to him easily. 

The last few months of his life were very tough, yet he maintained his sense of humour, and his conviction that he would beat this disease, as he had much planned in his life.  His first love was his daughter Harriett, and his second was his dream to complete his chevy dragster and race it at Santa Pod.    

Although he will never race his own chevy, we know his spirit will live on and he will always be watching over us.......
