Story
In early 2017, just weeks after celebrating his 16th birthday, my cousin Harry had a stroke.
Harry is in his GCSE year at school, gifted both at sports and academically, and this shocked our family greatly. I have always enjoyed a very close relationship with him and am glad to say he continues to amaze us all with his progress.
At the time of writing at the start of February, Harry is learning to walk and move independently again, and will shortly be beginning a rigorous physiotherapy routine aimed at being discharged from hospital in around 10 weeks time. Whilst Harrys progress continues apace, we recognise he has a long and challenging period ahead of him.
I was keen to support a Stroke charity and was pleased to discover that the Stroke Association looks after Stroke victims of all ages and their families.
