First of all for those of you that dont know....I HATE AND DESPISE RUNNING!! I think its boring and takes up too much energy!! Also....I shouldnt run on concrete due to my bad ankles so im having to train on treadmills only then put up with the pain on the day!

The reason Im taking part in the half marathon is to raise money for the Alzheimers Society, my grandad suffers with Alzheimers and he has always been a true inspiration for me, it was really hard to come to terms with his illness and without the help of the carers in the home he is in now I dont know how our family would have coped.

SO as a team from work we are aiming to raise £1000 which will then be matched by our company and give us a total of £2000 (this is enough to train 2 new carers to work with Alzheimers patients.!)
