I am running my 1st Marathon (Stirling Marathon) on Sunday 24th October 2021.  I have decided that I would like to do some Fundraising for Whiteleys Retreat in the process. 

Whiteleys Retreat, located on the outskirts of Ayr, provides vital therapeutic respite breaks for children, young people and their families with cancer or life altering illness in Ayrshire. Situated within 32 acres of idyllic countryside, the retreat helps to build resilience, inner strength and create lasting memories for the whole family unit

As a dad of 2 young children myself, I can't imagine what these families have to go through. To have a place where they can go on breaks and holidays to have family time together whilst trying to forget their worries for a short period of time must be such a help.

I decided on Whiteleys as COVID-19 has such an effect on charity fundraising in 2020, that I felt any amount I could raise would help them to continue to provide these breaks and holidays to the people who need them the most.

Keep following me for updates on my progress working up to the big day! 26.2 Miles around some of the most beautiful and historical parts of Scotland.....Bring it on!!
