We campaign, support and fund research to stop people dying of bowel cancer

Story

‘I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, a digestive system auto immune disease, over 20 years ago. With UC and closely related Crohn’s disease, there is an increased risk of bowel cancer. Earlier in 2021 a friend was diagnosed with bowel cancer and with my UC it made me realise how important it was to raise awareness about chronic disease such as bowel cancer and the importance of exercise, healthy food choices and mental health. Bowel Cancer UK is a perfect fit as a charity to support.
I’m really looking forward to CrossFitters and the whole community coming together to support this event and worthy cause.

Why 28?
28% of bowel cancer is linked to a lack of fibre in the diet and hence 28 hours for the challenge. An even higher percentage is associated with poor nutrition.

Time to get active.

Our overall target is £10,000. As some donations will be going direct to Bowel Cancer UK our JustGiving target is £6000.

Let's beat cancer together!
