Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Entering this event was not an easy decision. Having never done any long distance training before, I decided to do this to challenge myself both physically and mentally. I grew up on Birmingham untill 6 years ago when I moved up north to live with my wife Helen. Until then, I had never done fell running before, but fell in love with it instantly. The feeling you get pushing yourself up and down the rugged terrain Northern England has to offer is exhilarating. Luckily my farther-in-law and his friend Ian have done this event 3 times each, so I will have some good experience to assist me training. They have both said this will be as much a psychological challenge as a physical one, and this is why I feel it will be a worthy challenge to raise money for such a rewarding and giving charity. The upbringing and enjoyment of children is extremely important, especially at a young age. There are so many children across the world who don't get a stable life and the enjoyment they should receive. To be able to affect the lives of young people by doing this event will be such an honor and give me such pride.
