I was always planning on running this 1/2 marathon just for the personal challenge however my motivations have now changed in the last few days.

Last Friday morning we had the heartbreaking experience of Vicky delivering a still born baby 6 weeks early. Baby Gonzo (our nickname for him not the long term planned name!) was a beautiful baby boy who would have been joining a very happy family and would have been smothered in love by Vicky, Ewan and myself. 

I am now going to be running in memory of Baby Gonzo and hope to also raise money for Sands (Stillbirth & neonatal death charity) who provide emotional support for others who have been unfortunate enough to experience the personal devastation we have in the last week. Please be as generous as you can, it will really help a very valuable charity who provide support to help people pick up the pieces of their lives.
