Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 3rd anniversary of my bicycle crash I intend to complete a 200 mile bike ride with plenty of hills along the way, it could so easily be planned to cycle a flat route but that's not me, The Air Ambulance crew are always pushing and having themselves tested and so I'll be doing all I can to raise as much as I can as a thank you for saving my life.
Three years ago , I was out cycling with a large group when I touched wheels with a friend causing me to come crashing down on the wrong side of the road narrowly avoiding an fast moving oncoming car, knocking me clean unconscious. Luckily an off duty nurse was passing and because she said to the 999 call centre, I wouldn't survive the 15 min ETA of the ambulance, the Air Ambulance were called , on site in a few minutes, I was put into an induced coma for 4 days and airlifted to Stoke hospital , some 30 miles away in about 8 minutes. I really can't thank these guys enough. I'm still suffering with loss of memory for about 5 weeks after the crash and I suffer still now, I'm suffering with mental issues, memory issues, self harming, I've been sectioned, arrested , been to court , all for issues relating to the person I've become since my injuries but I'm still trying to get better, this bike ride will be a big test , my biggest journey by a fair few miles but these guys are worth every pound I can raise so PLEASE, dig deep when donating to this charity that are solely funded by donations and charity work. No one knows what's around the corner and you or a family member or friend , one day might need them . Thanking you in advance for any hard earned money you choose to donate
