Story
Hello
Many thanks for taking the time to visit my Just giving site
I'm going for the big one in April and running the London Marathon in memory of my father, Peter, who died from Alzheimers disease in October 2008. The support my family received from the Society was hugely comforting. The work they do is fantastic, but with more funds they could do so much more, so please help me raise as much cash as possible.
If I achieve my target of £4,000, it would support a researcher for one year with the chemicals and equipment they need to further understand the causes of dementia, so that better treatments can be developed and a search for a cure can continue. A big sum also makes it impossible for me to back out!
When I started running my GP said I was flat footed and too fat to run it. Please help me prove the experts wrong by donating as much as you feel able. All donations very gratefully received !
I hope you like the photo of me with local running legend & inspiration Victor.
Thank you
Stuart
