We are fighting to make a world where diabetes does no harm

Story

As many of you may know, I'm a (formerly) keen Irish Dancer and have decided to try my hand at another form of dance for a great cause and take part in the fantastic event that is Tesco Does Strictly 2015.

There will be so much hard work going into this from all involved, so please give what you can to make our hard work worth it and see if we can beat last year's total fundraising target!

I've been sworn to secrecy for the actual event, so can't give away too much, except that it's a very ambitious routine. You will have to come along on the night to see more!

This event is fundraising for the new ground-breaking Tesco Charity Partnership between the British Heart foundation and Diabetes UK. All funds will be split 50/50 between the two charities. There are 3.5 million people in the UK who have Type 2 diabetes and 7 million living with cardiovascular disease. These can be serious life-threatening conditions. They are also largely preventable. Tesco, Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation are on a mission to help reduce the number of people at risk. And, with our new partnership, we’re making a three-year promise to help millions of people eat better, get active and make healthier choices.
