Story
We are fund raising for Martin House hospice for children & young people, where Adam sadly died from sepsis in March 2015, aged just 15, following a prolonged hospital stay.
We know from Adam’s experience around the UK the vital work Martin House and other similar hospices play in supporting children, young people & their families through life limiting illness & how dependant these services are on charitable funding.
Adam lived his life to the full He loved watching Strictly and he hoped one day to be in the audience. The picture on this page shows Adam in hospital dressed in his finest to watch a BBC Strictly final.
Adam was also a great fundraiser for charities close to his heart, raising over £100,000 for various charities over his short lifetime, including for children’s hospices. Adam’s dying wish was that his experiences should be used to help others.
We are therefore celebrating Adam by combining his love of Strictly, his passion for fundraising & his healthcare advocacy, by fundraising for Martin House doing Strictly.
Thank you for any donations you are able to give, your kindness & generosity is hugely appreciated.
Also if you can get to Leeds for the Strictly Finals night on Saturday 12th March, tickets are available for the gala evening, so do get in touch via Twitter @4AdsthePoet
