Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Kids the NSPCC adverts always make me think of...

When I was in first year of junior school (year 3 now days) two kids turned up part way through the year. They weren't around for very long but I was kind of fascinated by the way they looked. Simon & Maxine were paternal twins. They fascinated me as a 7 year old because they looked so different to everyone else. Smaller than the rest of us, sunken eyes and cheeks, hair like straw and basin cut with clothes that hung on them.

I missed that they had probably been abused in some way as I was too busy learning to spell words like professor, write legibly and make plastacine dinosaurs. I still miss kids like that because I'm busy working on something.

...so in a way, this run is dedicated to all the kids like Simon & Maxine I've missed because I've been too busy.
