Story
Having lived in Lincoln for over 40 years the increasing number of homeless people is an inescapable fact. Whilst circumstances differ, and are largely unknown to me, it seems that to many such people become invisible at best and a 'blight on the City' at worst, ignored with eyes diverted much of the time. Personally I've always found them grateful and polite in receipt of some change, or a cuppa or even some conversation...in fact even if you just acknowledge them to say you have to change! Such small acts count but bigger acts would be better....we may not think about it, but most of us are only a few pay days (or lack of them) away from such circumstances becoming a very reality...as with most things in life, 'they' could be 'us'..in fact, they are us....and for me, well, I just felt I wanted to do a little more, so any help anyone can give in terms of donations for my earthward plummet would be really appreciated...especially with winter coming! All donations will go to the Nomad Trust/YMCA to help local people.
