Story

Updated on Mar 22nd 2012 at 9:44 PM from the JustGiving API

Just found out that there's both an East and West route to the Rheinsteig...no wonder I've been struggling to put a route together!

Thank you for visiting my page.

In May I intend to walk the Rheinsteig Weg, a long distance path from Wiesbaden in Hesse, central Germany which runs 175 miles north and ends in Bonn, the former capital of West Germany. This is to raise maney for the Organisation for Anti-Convulsant Syndrome (OACS). The charity supports adults and children born with Foetal Ant-Convulsant Syndrome (FACS).

FACS is a relatively rare and unknown condition caused by Sodium Valproate, the active ingredient in most Epilepsy drugs taken today. So unknown that many mothers aren't made aware of the danger to their unborn child by the medical profession and continue to take the medication through to term with no idea of the harm it causes.

My son Max was born with the condition almost 6 years ago so it's obviously a cause that's very close to my heart. Anything that you can spare would be very gratefully received.

Keep Low, Move Fast.
