Story
Read me please!!!!
To celebrate my 3 year cancerversary on the 4th november this year- that is 3 years in remission! I am running tough mudder a 12 mile cross country SAS designed assault course. Yep I'm a little odd and may very well regret it...but Hey! I'm alive so what the hell, something that I, until very recently, I had started to take for granted again.
Most of you will know my story but those who dont...3 years ago I was diagnosed with testicular cancer and long story short I was quite ill, spent a long time in hospital and my life changed, initially, for the worst. I desperately struggled with life losing everything I thought was me, on the face of it I was the same person to everyone else but inside I all but given up and had to rebuild myself but most importantly I had to rebuild who I was or build who I wanted to be.
My team of Doctors and Nurses cured my cancer...but this is the important bit folks so pay attention (if you are still reading)...
A SELECT FEW CHARITIES SAVED MY LIFE!!
And my experience became the 'best worst luck a person can possibly have' I wouldnt be where I am today without the fantastic friends and inspirational people I have met. I gained a purpose and a belonging and at every opportunity I strive to give back so that others can have the experience I had/have.
I have chosen 2 charities to fund raise for and it is up to you to chose which to donate to. I wouldnt have chosen them if they wasnt worth while and both are extremely close to my heart.
If you wish to know more about them ASK ME as I cannot do them justice through words here. Just know that your donations will make the world of difference to others and indeed myself.
Thanks
