I'm aiming to raise money for Dr Kershaw's Hospice who provide specialist palliative care for adults with non-curable life-threatening illnesses in a peaceful and homely environment.

When my dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer the staff at Dr Kershaws were just brilliant. Their caring, understanding and professionalism really helped not just my dad, but my mum too, to cope during this extremely worrying time. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they had someone available to speak to at any time of day.

My mum said it would have been twice as hard to cope if it hadn't been for Kershaw's Staff.

I'm happy to report that my dad did finally beat the cancer and has been given the "all clear". He's back on the bowling greens around Oldham and feeling great!
