The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up by a totally inspirational man Steve Prescott MBE. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a terminal cancer & sought out to raise funds for The Christie Hospital and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund. The SPF changes the lives of so many people.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having known Steve Prescott for many years playing rugby with him and against him before his illness we already knew what a fiercely competitor he was, and when he fell ill we only really began to realise the type of person he was!

There are four words in particular that described Steve Prescott: competitive, resilient, courageous and inspirational. These qualities were prevalent throughout his life, in which sport played a dominant role

Since the time when Steve fell ill Myself & Rob have taken part in various challenges Including Perpignan to London, Lands End to John O Groats, End 2 End Xtreme and lots of daily events. Unfortunately Steve passed away on the 9th of November 2013

This year we have decided to do 2 events Ironman Lanzerote (the toughest Ironman in the world) and The Steve Prescott Foundations Tour de Yorkshire (which is this years Tour de Frances 1st two stages) Also in the past both rob and myself have fund raised separately, this time around we have decided to do it together to avoid asking most of you guys twice..

We are already 5 months into our training for Ironman, and have sacrificed endless hours in the pool and thousands of miles on the bike and running in the misery of our Great British weather. We have both shed a few pounds in the process! Needless to say this is all done for a reason! Now our main goal.. to raise as much as we can for this amazing cause! . SO PLEASE DIG DEEP!
