Welcome to Team LaCie

This is Lacie.
Daughter of Lee Pollard & Kelly Marshall , and my Grandaughter. She has just turned two.

Lacie has recently been diagnosed with having a Wilms Tumour in one of her kidneys, bone marrow and it has caused spots on her lungs. The tumour itself is quite large and has grown into her tummy as well as wrapping itself around her spine.

Thankfully this is all treatable! 

After a short stay in hospital, as well as having her first course of
Chemotherapy, Lacie has now been released and home where she is still having treatment and returning to hospital each week as a day case.

As part of her ongoing treatment on December 17^th Lacie is scheduled to have an operation where she will have her damaged kidney removed. This will be followed by a further 8month course of Chemotherapy treatment. 

As a thankyou to the fantastic Hospital and Staff at the Queens Medical Centre, Ward E39 Oncology Unit, I will be trying to raise some much needed & deserved funds for the hospital by walking 100miles over 5 days, along the roads of Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.

As of yet, the route has not been finalised but I will hopefully be commencing my walk on Monday 24th May 2021, covid restrictions permitting.
