Briefly for those that don't know me, I have always been a keen 'road' cycling 'enthusiast' but In October 2010, I weighed a staggering 19 stone 7lb and enough was enough as I felt so ill and I felt I had to seriously do something about it.

I made the decision not only for my health but my general wellbeing to lose 5 stone or more over the winter months. So a WII Fit+ was bought and also a sensible 'small portion' eating plan was devised in an attempt to lose the weight.

So after 6 months and after a lot of sweating and less eating! I now weigh 14 stone 5lb! which totals 5 stone 2lb of weight loss!!

So I achieved what I wanted to over the winter months and apart from obviously feeling so much better within myself I want to be able to do something positive for those less fortunate people so here is my first of many charity rides with my beloved 'Trek' road bikes. Incidentally I can be found whenever I can, pounding the roads of Dorset on one of my trusty 'Trek' road bikes, and I have also started riding to work which intails a 12 mile round trip....
