Jane, Kirsty and I will be walking the West Highland Way and weather permitting climbing Ben Nevis the highest mountain in the UK on the last week in July 2016. 

We walk from Milngavie in Glasgow to Fort William This will amount to   106 miles  not including detours to accomodation etc.                                        Total Ascent - 21811 feet                                             Total Descent - 22008feet                                              The highest point will obviously be Ben Nevis summit at1344m (4,406ft)                                                                   We chose this charity because it effects so many people and Jane’s family have had more than their fair share  of suffering, her Father died while she was still at school and her Mother was taken from us seven weeks before we got married, and her Sister died in 2014 all at a premature age from Cancer and after a long period of suffering. Jane’s brother has suffered from prostrate cancer and her other sister has just been given the all clear after suffering from Breast Cancer. Now Steve's father is facing a battle with Prostate cancer along with my long time friend (as good as family) Len Mole.

With most families being touched by  this awful illness called Cancer the quicker and closer we get to a cure the better.
