I will travel from Dunstaffnage Castle on the west coast of Scotland to Broughty Ferry Castle on the east coast by cycling, kayaking and swimming over 120 miles of roads, rivers and lochs.

The three-day charitable adventure from 1-3 September is raising funds to support student sport at Abertay University, with all money raised being used to send an elite student athlete for expert coaching, studying and training overseas.
As a keen sportsman, I’m always looking for the next big challenge. There’s something about crossing the full width of a country under your own power that really appeals. It’ll be a really tough challenge over the three days, particularly as my strength probably lies with the kayaking and swimming much more than the cycling!
It might seem like an unusual way to spend a short holiday away from work (as a Vice-Principal at Abertay University), but I hope to be able to raise money to support one of our elite student athletes to benefit from expert international coaching.
I have previously completed ultra-endurance events in several sports and also serve as a volunteer crewman with the RNLI at the Broughty Ferry Lifeboat Station.
