Story

Update: Thank you to everyone who sponsored me. I beat my PB over 10 miles by 6 minutes finishing in 3,684 position of 30,000 (ish). Such an amazing day and can't wait to do it all again next year.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've chosen the Wessex Renal Amenity Fund as it's very dear to our family. My mother in law is being treated three times a week in the Dialysis unit at QA Hospital. They do great work with limited resources and any amount that can be raised by doing this is our small way of saying thanks.

There are currently 490 dialysis patients attached to the unit with a renal service covering 2 million adult patients. It is staffed by nephrology trained staff and the unit covers most of Hampshire, Isle of Wight and adjacent parts of Wiltshire and W. Sussex. It is also an important transplant centre and anyone not registered on the national kidney donor register can log on to www.organdonation.nhs.uk if they wish to do so.

Thanks for reading

Steve
