John Thorne sadly passed away on the 10th July 2018 after a long standing battle with cancer. John was a well respected friend and team mate to a host of Dings players over the years, being voted 1st Team Player of the Year at both No 8 and Prop and eventually bestowed Honorary Life Membership. 

As a tribute to John and recognising the care and attention the Macmillan Nurses gave (not forgetting the outstanding personal dedication of his wife Mary and his close family) we have decided to undertake a 10 mile sponsored walk along the Bath to Bristol cycleway from Bitton to Shaftesbury Park on Saturday 17th November. 

Your support is most welcome and all monies raised will de donated to Macmillan Cancer Care.
