I am running the London Marathon 2014 in aid of the Magic of Play Appeal, to build a new playroom at the Lister hospital in Stevenage. This appeal has been set up by East & North Herts Hospitals Charity and they need to raise £250,000 by next year in order for the new playroom to go ahead. Over 3,000 poorly children stay at the hospital every year and the current playroom is 25 years old, tired and in need of repair. The new playroom they want to install will be 55% larger and will cater for all ages and all medical conditions.
