Story
This is Charlie Dukes a devoted husband, father and grandfather. An active man whom loved every aspect of life. His amazing smile would brighten any room. On Monday 18th May 2020 Charlie was in a freak bicycle accident, where he sustained substantial head injuries.
This resulted in the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance assisting and air lifting Charlie to the Royal London Hospital, where Charlie remained in a coma for 6 days.
Unfortunately on Saturday 23rd May 2020 Charlie sadly passed away.
Charlie’s family were shocked and devastated by his death. The Air ambulance service were able to emotionally support Charlie’s family by visiting them at their home, this gave them a better understanding of the injuries Charlie had sustained. Answering many unanswered questions the family needed to ask. This was an extremely important process as Charlie’s family found this comforting and reassuring.
