Steve's London Marathon 2014 page

London Marathon 2014 · 13 April 2014 ·
first run last night after almost a two week rest...nicely rounded off with a cheeky spicy supper! donations are still being taken!
Well that's it folks! JOB DONE!
Marathon completed in just under five hours and I'm delighted with the response I've had to my fundraising!
This page will continue to take donations until 13.6.14 so feel free to add to the already fantastic total for this great charity!!
After starting to run at the end of 2012 (following a temporary break of 38 years and unhappy memories of regularly coming last in the school cross-country) I've developed the 'running bug'!
Following participation in Edinburgh's 5k and 10k runs earlier this year, and more recently the Glasgow Half Marathon, I've now reached my next goal, the 2014 London Marathon.
My chosen charity is SENSE - for people that have to live and cope with not only being deaf but blind as well.
Imagine that for one minute.
I grew up with one grandmother that was deaf and the other blind (what's the chances of that?!) and I know the huge struggle that they both had integrating with and being accepted by society.
So please give as much as you can and support me as I prepare for the chilly winter training schedule ahead!
Many thanks!!
