Story
Hi
On 25 April 2010, I will be running the Virgin London Marathon.
After 2 Marathons in the last 2 years, why am I running another one ?
It's certainly not because I love running in the glorious UK weather or the time that you have to dedicate after work and at the weekends, for all the very long practice runs and it's certainly not that I enjoy all the injuries that seem to have been a constant problem this year !
I am running the VLM 2010, to try to help raise money for a brilliant charity, Breast Cancer Campaign, and to remember a very important person, Bev Mills.
This charity is very close to my heart, as Bev was.
Bev was a very special and a very brave lady, who will always mean a massive amount to our family.
A few years ago, and at a far too young age, Bev very sadly lost her fight against breast cancer.
There isn't a week that goes by, where we don't think about Bev and the effect that this horrid and cruel disease, has had on everyone that knew her
I am sure that you know someone close to you, that has been affected in some way, by the worry of Breast Cancer.
1 in 9 women will be affected by breast cancer in their lifetime in the UK. Over 41000 women and 300 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
Every pound raised and given to Breast Cancer Campaign helps in the research into the causes and hopefully cure, of breast cancer.
Please dig deep and sponsor me online, as I try to help this very worthy cause and run my very last Marathon.
Honest !
Many thanks for your generous support.
Steve
