Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and hopefully you will find time to support the cause I have chosen in the South Atlantic Medal Association or SAMA (82).
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Even though the Falklands conflict took place 30 years ago many of those involved continue to struggle. Not only with visible injuries and the physical challenges they have learnt to overcome but also the many who fight their demons in silence, lives changed or destroyed by what they were asked to do or witnessed. SAMA (82) continues to reach out to Sailors, Marines, Soldiers, Airmen and members of the Merchant Navy involved in the conflict to provide support for those in need as well as their families who often bear the brunt of living with someone with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder better known as PTSD.
This is a cause close to my heart and I have been a member of SAMA (82) since it was formed in 1987, having seen the amazing work performed by the organisation and it's members I urge you to dig as deep as you can to allow this invaluable work to continue.
Thank you,
Stephen
