Story
I’ve decided that 2021 is the year that I will up my game fitness wise and I’ll look to raise some cash for a good cause while I’m at it.
The plan is to complete 1000 miles of running/jogging/walking (might even come to crawling) in a calendar year. Day to day general steps do not count. Only dedicated exercise periods will count towards the tally.
The 1000 Miles (1610km) in a calendar year is the equivalent of having to complete 38 marathons - Or a marathon every 9.5 days. To keep on track i’d need to stay free of injuries and also keep the running up during summer holidays so it’ll be a big increase on what I’m currently doing.
Its scary the amount of people around my age or younger that have had to fight cancer these days. It seems to be everywhere just now. It’s a horrible disease that doesn’t care what age you are & I kept this in mind when selecting the charity.
