Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In June 2015, aged 30, my brother-in-law David Greaves was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.
For those that don't know - MND is a degenerative disease that results in death of motor neurons (the cells which control voluntary muscular movement of the body). It robs those who suffer from it of the use of their limbs, their voice and eventually their lungs, drastically reducing life expectancy.
Dave and my little sister Philippa have faced his diagnosis head on and have themselves already raised over £10,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
A group of family and friends have decided to take on the Great North Run in the UK to raise money for the MND Association. As I'm Sydney based I decided to join the fundraising effort by attempting to complete my first ever marathon, a week before the UK contingent tackle the Great North Run.
Please sponsor me and help raise awareness and much needed funds for the fight against this truly awful disease.
