After watching the outstanding film "Kajaki" (http://kajakimovie.com/) it consolidated the awe and respect I have for the men and women of our forces who have faced and endured terrifying situations with selfless courage and loyalty to each other on the battlefield. Many of these men and women, as we know, never made it and many more continue to battle the remaining fallout of those situations either physically or psychologically every day of their lives and I am going all out to train and compete as well as possible in true PARA REG mode to raise some funds which may help at least one of our soldiers. I am doing it in memory of Mark Wright GC and his buddies on that fateful day...I met Mark Wrights Mother Jem at my friends wedding ( my friend was Mark`s uncle and we served together in 3 Para 1985-1988) and I remember her talking proudly about her son Mark and his plans for his army career...I also met Gillian, Mark`s fiance and she was so excited about her future with Mark. I found it a humbling experience to watch the film and can only imagine the reality of such a situation and the strength of mind, loyalty, leadership and courage needed to get through...so sad that Mark never made it. RIP brother x
